Class Description:

Master the art of figure drawing through a structured exploration of anatomy, form, and expression.

Develop your ability to create accurate and dynamic renderings of the human body while cultivating your individual artistic voice. The first three sessions will focus on structural drawing using graphite from casts and models, emphasizing the human form as simplified three-dimensional structures in space and refining your understanding of value, proportion, and anatomy. In the final three sessions, you will transition to charcoal, exploring larger-scale, expressive drawings through reductive techniques to achieve a more gestural and painterly approach.
