Join us to discover traditional skills and contemporary practice
Dates: Feb 1 - Apr 25 (Thursdays, 2 - 5 pm) This class examines the language and techniques of watercolor painting from the figure. Students will paint using a variety of strategies derived from current and historical practice.
Dates: Jan 29 - Apr 24 (Wednesdays, 2 - 5 pm) Students explore the tradition of self-portraiture from a contemporary perspective - examining how artists have depicted the self both art historically and in contemporary autobiographical work.
Dates: Feb 1 - Apr 25 (Thursdays, 6:30 - 9:30 pm) Students explore the human form through four modules: anatomical study, creating the figure within an environment, capturing motion, and creating unique portraits.
