Figure Drawing Fundamentals breaks down and demystifies the process of figure drawing, from block-in to full-value rendering. Working with a live model, we will discuss ways to start a drawing, measuring and angles, basic anatomical constructs, hatching, and creating the feeling of light on form. Long poses offer the time for sustained study of the human body and will allow you develop the value scale of your drawings. You will receive personalized feedback each week on your class drawings, as well as on the optional homework assignments, which can help accelerate your progress in the class.
