Class Description:

Enhance your skills and jumpstart your creativity in capturing the human form.

In this class students will explore creative lighting situations and unusual color palettes. We will cover indirect painting techniques, advanced color mixing, and complicated temperature shifts. Over six weeks we will complete two figure paintings using photographic references of models made specifically for this course. By engaging in hands-on practice, observing demonstrations, and listening to lectures, students will learn to create believable lighting in any color palette. This course offers intermediate and advanced students the opportunity to develop their artistic skills and personal voice.
