Class Description:

This workshop will have you scouting for the perfect spot out in the city to draw inspiration from!

Learn to draw outside as you experience the light illuminating the trees and buildings. Sketching, drawing with pen/ink/pencils, and watercolor painting are some of the methods that will be used and demonstrated. Perspective, composition, light & shadow, texture, and simplification/design are some topics that will be discussed and demonstrated.

Meet Your Instructor

Guno Park

Adjunct Faculty Drawing

Guno Park is a Korean-Canadian artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY - working primarily in drawing. Park holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, a BFA from Ontario College of Art & Design, and a Diploma from Sheridan College in Classical Animation. His work has been exhibited at Brooklyn Museum, Sugarlift Gallery, Subliminal Projects, Franklin Bowles Gallery, and Nucleus Portland, amongst others. Publications of Park’s drawings include - MoMA magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Drawing Magazine, and Colossal. Park currently teaches drawing at The New York Academy of Art, Art Center College of Design, and Marymount Manhattan College.
