Class Description:

Learn the essentials elements of the human body for figure drawing, structure, anatomy and aesthetics in a “user friendly” way.

Students will “learn as you go”, creating a number of figure drawings in a variety of poses, techniques, and visualizations working from live models. In this class with MFA faculty member, Roberto Osti, students will learn the structural and stereometric aspects of the human figure, in addition to the skeletal and muscular systems, as well as how to use that knowledge to capture the aesthetic of the human figure in static and dynamic poses. Open to all levels, this course is equally useful for students who want a first approach to figural anatomy and those who want to practice and develop their anatomical knowledge and figure drawing skills.
