Class Description:

How do you turn a loose sketch into a finished piece of art?

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll tackle exactly that. Drawing from a live model, students will begin by capturing the energy of the pose through quick, dynamic sketches. Using gesture drawing as a foundation, we’ll explore mapping out a composition, refining proportions and likeness, and building volume with light and shadow. Through step-by-step instruction, demonstrations, and personalized critiques, students will tackle technical challenges while developing their own artistic voice. By the end of the workshop, students will leave with one polished drawing, a series of gesture studies, and a clear process for approaching the figure with greater confidence. Designed for artists of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
