Join us to discover traditional skills and contemporary practice
This class will focus on painting flowers and other botanicals in their natural environment using “direct” painting techniques: mixing our colors carefully and applying the paint with expressive, impasto brushstrokes.
This class unites good drawing and color value structure with a conceptual focus on portraiture through paint application and the use of digitally altered images.
Enjoy gaining a foundation in understanding the structure and solidity of the human head. CFA and MFA Faculty member Manu Saluja will guide you through proportion, color theory, and mixing flesh tones as you create a portrait in your home studio.
