Class Description:

In this class students will learn the fundamentals of portrait drawing and painting.

The course will begin with the creation of a traditional drawn self-portrait crafted through the utilization of a mirror. Next, the course will shift to traditional oil painting techniques, beginning with a thorough overview of painting surfaces, mediums and tools, and color palettes designed to best represent flesh tones. In addition to video tutorials available through the course, Williams will demonstrate all drawing and painting techniques live and, through Photoshop, he will provide comprehensive digital paint-overs of all student’s work throughout the course.
