Indirect painting focuses on the Old Master techniques of optical mixing and layering of oil paints. In this class, students will have an introduction on how to construct an oil painting with indirect painting techniques.
PurchaseIn this class, students will learn how to paint different skin tones using one limited palette. Over this six week course we will paint two portraits from photographs, using models with different skin colors.
Enjoy gaining a foundation in understanding the structure and solidity of the human head. CFA and MFA Faculty member Manu Saluja will guide you through proportion, color theory, and mixing flesh tones as you create a portrait in your home studio.
This course is to understand the nature of watercolor. Using different materials leads to different results and students will learn and explore by using them to see what suits their vision and individual style.
