PurchaseIn this online version of the class, students will learn my specific process for approaching portrait painting. We will cover how to draw faces, how to do an underpainting, rendering a painting area by area, and how to optimally manipulate oil paint.
This class will focus on painting flowers and other botanicals up-close in all their detailed glory. Botanical subjects give a painter every possible challenge to work with: color, pattern, transparency, volume, and texture.
Indirect painting focuses on the Old Master techniques of optical mixing and layering of oil paints. In this class, students will have an introduction on how to construct an oil painting with indirect painting techniques.
