In this online version of the class, students will learn my specific process for approaching portrait painting. We will cover how to draw faces, how to do an underpainting, rendering a painting area by area, and how to optimally manipulate oil paint.

In this class with Zane York students will develop a painting using strategies derived from the history of still life, with focus placed on the Dutch Golden age.
This course immerses beginner and advanced artists in a drawing practice in which they will be observing and understanding the mark-making of select master drawings. It focuses primarily, but not exclusively on the human figure.
