Join us to discover traditional skills and contemporary practice
This course immerses beginner and advanced artists in a drawing practice in which they will be observing and understanding the mark-making of select master drawings. It focuses primarily, but not exclusively on the human figure.
This comprehensive course will cover the foundations of Figure Drawing including steps of beginning a drawing, proportions, strategies for strengthening a drawing, avoiding common errors, essential anatomy and understanding how light reveals form.
Explore the portrait from the base of construction—the skull—to the surface complexities of form in features and likeness.
