Class Description:

Spend time observing and sketching New York City’s urban landscape from within its interior spaces.

Working on-site in a variety of architectural and public interiors throughout the city, you’ll explore how light, structure, perspective and atmosphere shape the urban environment. Using paper, pen, or any preferred drawing tools, you’ll create expressive drawings that reflect your own vision. The first class will focus on conversations and exercises about perspective, composition, lighting, and atmosphere, along with demonstrations and guided practice. The second session will meet entirely on location (interior site TBD) to draw together while considering intention, observation, and creative interpretation. All levels welcome.
